Location and Territories
Find out more about where the territory of the Republic is located, and its main geographical features
Location
The Talossan Republic is composed of two distinct territories, “Metropolitan Talossa”, located in North America, and “Overseas Talossa”, located in Western Europe.
- Metropolitan Talossa
- Overseas Talossa
Territories
Metropolitan Talossa consists of an enclave of territory on the eastern edge of the American city of Milwaukee, between the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan. Metropolitan Talossa is divided into two self-governing provinces for administrative purposes, Florencia and the Great Southern Province, and one unorganised territory, la Teritôriâ Cüféir (the Cooper Territory).
Overseas Talossa consists of the isle of Cezembre, a small island located in the harbour of the French city of St Malô. Cezembre is a single self-governing province. More than half of the area of the isle has been sealed off due to the risk of unexploded bombs dating from the Second World War. This Zone Interdite is now a wildlife sanctuary.
Capital
The capital of the Republic, and its de jure seat of government, is the Mitchell Building. This landmark edifice was built in 1876 in the French Second Empire style, and is named after its first proprietor, businessman Alexander Mitchell. For more historical information about “the Mitch”, see here.
Provinces
The three Provinces that make up the Talossan Republic are Cézembre, Florenciâ, and The Great Southern Province.
